(5) Mr. Eberle served as Mayor of Ridley Park for 28

years and was actively involved in community events and

activities throughout the borough.

(6) In addition to his public service as mayor, Mr.

Eberle served his community through Immanuel Lutheran Church

of Norwood, Taylor Hospital, The Community Foundation, the

Ridley Park Athletic Club and numerous local committees and

boards.

(7) As Mayor of Ridley Park, Mr. Eberle championed local

causes, including the revitalization of downtown Ridley Park,

and tirelessly advocated for the Sellers Avenue Bridge.

(8) Mr. Eberle was named Mayor of the Year in 2011 and

was honored as Taylor Community Foundation's Philanthropist

of the Year.

(9) Mr. Eberle passed away on August 2, 2025, at 91

years of age.

(b) Designation.--The bridge, identified as Bridge Key

15287, carrying State Route 2031 over Amtrak in Ridley Park

Borough, Delaware County, is designated the Mayor Hank Eberle

Memorial Bridge.

traffic in both directions on the bridge.

Section 2. Effective date.

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
